Thanks to Swinging Singles, Prairie Winds, Dots & Dashers and Wheatland Whirlers for the hospitality extended when we visited your Clubs. And thanks to Hi-Land Swingers, Prairie Winds, Dots & Dashers, Swinging Singles and Banff Trailers for your visits to our Club. We’re looking forward to resuming our visitation schedule in the spring when driving conditions are more favorable for our members and guests. We truly value the friendships developed by these exchange visits.
Having C&D representatives in attendance at our Halloween Party, complete with costumes, made this dance even more special. There were lots of super costumes so it was difficult to pick a winner during the costume parade.
We want to take this opportunity to thank C&D for the financial assistance with our advertising campaign this fall which was largely responsible for attracting 18 new dancers. We are delighted to welcome back all 8 graduates from last season as well as 10 previous members who have returned to dancing after a year or more respite. Our goal was to increase our membership by two squares this dance season, either with new or returning dancers and at this point we are confident we’ll be able to report, “Mission Accomplished”.
We are extremely proud of our new dancers’ progress and the enthusiasm they bring to our Club. Under the guidance of our Caller Couple, Roger and Paulette Vipond, they’ll be in fine form for the New Dancer Jamboree on February 19th. Hope to se many of you out for that event.
Of course, we welcome visitors and Friday evening throughout the season.
On Behalf of Rockyview Ramblers, Merry Christmas and a Fun-Filled 2006 to all our Square Dance Friends. Happy Dancing.
