Rockyview Ramblers Newsletter October 2004

Hope everyone had an enjoyable summer, what little there was of it.

In June, several of our executives attended the C & D Picnic hosted by Jim and Shirley Minty. In spite of the rain outside, the warmth and friendship inside more than made up for the weather. Thanks for inviting us.

With Stampede activities and the National Convention now happy memories, thanks to the dedication and efforts of all Clubs’ members, including several from our club, it’s time to concentrate on the new dance season.

Our new executive has had its first meeting and now fully appreciates the effort it takes to run a successful club. With the guidance of those who are continuing in their positions from last year and those who previously held positions, we are confident that we will have another good year. Thanks also to Roger and Paulette for your enthusiasm and friendship.

We have planned a pre-season BBQ and will start our regular dances on September 24th. We are encouraged by the number of inquiries about square dancing in our area and anticipate a fair size new dancer group this year.

We have scheduled visitations with most of the clubs and are looking forward to those as well. Of course, we welcome visitors and Friday evening throughout the season.

Happy dancing and see your across the squares.
