As
we prepare to wind down another great dance season, we stop to reflect on some
significant events:
Our
25th Anniversary Celebration provided a great opportunity to visit
with long time friends like “Magnificent 7” members Marge & Bob McCaskill
(Vulcan); Life Members & First Caller Couple – Joan & Arthur Westlake;
previous Club members – Lois & John Fast (High River) and many others.
Thanks to all our guests from clubs as far away as Nanton, Lacombe, Red Deer
and, of course, Calgary who came out, in spite of the weather, to celebrate this
milestone event. We were especially pleased to present Life Membership bars to
3 very worthy recipients – Frances Hanzel, Doreen & Wayne Stretch. Congratulations
and thanks for your many years of dedication.
New
Dancer Jamborees (not to forget the Pot Luck Suppers), our New Dancers have
discovered, with great pleasure, this social aspect of their dancing experience
– from the Calgary Callers Jamboree, to Drumheller, Olds and of course the
Jamboree hosted by us.
Thanks
to the guidance and TLC provided by Roger & Paulette, we look forward to
Graduation night when we welcome 8 new dancers to our membership. We’re very
proud of each and every one of you and truly appreciate the enthusiasm and
spirit you’ve brought to our Club.
May
we take this opportunity to thank all the Clubs we visited for their
hospitality and all those who attended return visitations.

Saturday May 7th; Weekend Campout & Donkey Dance Reunion – May 27-29.
