Happy but Safe New Year to One
and ALL!!!
Now that the year 2004 has
arrived we can expect many new things like a new prime minister, more bad news
for the cattle industry, cold weather, Festival 2004 etc., But we can all look
forward to the warmth and fellowship of our favorite pastime – Square and Round
dancing!
Our club had one of the best
Christmas parties yet, with too much great food (as usual); great (?) singing;
(and special guests Arthur and Joan Westlake, Johanna and Henry Jansen and last
but not least Santa Claus (for the young at heart) and of course the dancing
was real good even though we had all overindulged. The decorating crew had done
a fabulous job also!
Our new dancers are coming along
just fine under the careful eye of Paulette and Roger and we will se just how
good they are at our New Dancer Jamboree and Pot Luck supper (more lbs) to be
held on Sunday Feb 15th., from 2 until 5PM with supper following.
Then of course we are all
looking forward to the various visitations we have scheduled for the rest of
the season.
Our next major dance will then
be our Mother of the Year Dance on Saturday May 1st.
We look forward to all those
dancers from the surrounding communities to support these great dances with
Roger and Paulette Viponds calling.
The Rockyview Ramblers (weather
permitting) will be traveling to various clubs around the area, to expand our
horizons with the other clubs.
