Rainbow Country Dancers News April 2004

Here we are heading into spring. The club has been very busy enjoying some special dance nights and some club visits. Feb 4th we had a Surfs Up pot luck supper and dance. All the club members came dressed for the beach and Palma did a wonderful job calling with the appropriate music. We also celebrated 3 birthdays for members who turned 65 this year. This was done in grand style also.

During the evening we welcomed our New Dancers into the club with a tip in which they danced blindfolded, around raw eggs. The comments! Then they received their badges and diplomas. Feb 25 we welcomed C&D, but they were not sure if they were at the right hall as the people present were dressed Sadie Hawkins style. Even Grannie was there with her jug (see photos under Club photo link). Lorne and Barb Smith were the able callers.

Feb 27th saw us driving in the fog to visit the Queens & Jacks. All went well, had a great time and got home safe and sound again.

March 3rd we had Tom Dakers and the Queens & Jacks come on a return visit. Thanks to all for your visit and support.

REMEMBER: JUNEFEST 2004 – 19&20 with Ted Kernoski, from Winnipeg.
