Hi-Land Swingers News December 2005

November, Remembrance Day has passed in this Year of the Veteran. Where has the fall gone? After a beautiful October we are now into the snowy season. We’ve had dances, visitors and visitations. Oh how time flies when you are having fun.

Our Harvest Moon dance was a great success. We had 15 squares on the floor, for a very enjoyable evening. We enjoyed lots of pies for lunch, afterwards.

On Friday October 21st a group of us (Hi-Land Swingers and friends) took a bus trip to Lacombe for a lovely evening of Square Dancing with the Parkland Promenaders, with our Palma as the guest Caller.

On a sadder note, Bob Robertson passed away on Friday the 30th of September. Our thoughts and prayers go out to his family.

By the time you read this, we will have celebrated our 50th Anniversary.

We have 14 new dancers enthusiastically and zealously taking lessons. They are really enjoying themselves.

On behalf of all the Hi-Land Swingers, we want to wish everyone a Merry Christmas and a Happy and Prosperous New Year.

We are looking forward to seeing you across the square real soon.
