During the summer, we have several events to keep up with friendships in the off season. It started with our camp-out/picnic weekend in June, where we had a great turnout and enjoyed the usual outstanding potluck feast. In July, we had several demo dances during Stampede. Also, for the first time, we had a special dance in both June and August, to help our new grads through the summer “forget the moves” season. These dances were so popular, we expect them to become a permanent part of our annual schedule.
On a personal note, we had two of our member couples celebrate milestone anniversaries.
Dorothy and Fred Simons reached 55 years together and Beth and Bruce Logan, our first president couple in 1955, have seen the calendar change 60 times. Congratulations to both.
