Bow Valley Cloggers News April 2005

Greetings All! The Bow Valley Cloggers have been busy and happy with our favorite hobby, Clogging! We are again dancing on two nights: Monday at Tuxedo Park for Beginners and Basic Plus lessons, and Wednesday at Sunalta for Easy Intermediate and Intermediate. Both groups are having fun and learning lots of new dances!

In addition to regular dance night and party nights, we have demoed at several venues. These are always fun and give us an opportunity to brush up on our presentation skills and smiles. We wear matching vests and look very sharp.

I achieved my CCI (Certified Clogging Instructor) at C.L.O.B National Convention in November 2003. Many Clogging friends were there to celebrate with me. In fact Alberta won the attendance prize in the “Parade of States”.

Of course many great experiences came out of the Festival 2004. We had a full Clogging Program Chairs. We met so many new friends, renewed old friendships and enjoyed great dancing all weekend. The highlight was the Saturday night demo during the final tip. Clogging was easily the most enthusiastic dance form there.

Since that time we have taken in workshop, graduated several new cloggers and visited the Strathmore Cloggers Club, led by Anne Godsman.

The beginner classes start on Monday September 12 at Tuxedo Park Hall. Clogging is a mild aerobic workout, it requires no partner and no special clothing. Clogging experiences the very same friendship that make Square Dancing so special. Please come out and give Beginner Clogging lessons a try!
